The ideal candidate should be familiar with the following tasks working in a Project/Site Based environment.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
Lead the Management team and complete the project within the budgeted schedule and cost.
Manage technical and financial operations.
Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the construction project; monitor and coordinate work performed by architectural, engineering, and construction departments.
Minimize exposure to claims and take necessary actions to avoid litigation and disputes.
Lead the Project Management team in assessing variations and claims.
Manage project risks and implement a risk mitigation plan.
Keep the Client updated regarding Project Progress and other areas of concerns.
Customize and implement Project Management procedures and comply with Contract requirements and Client’s procedures.
Establish and maintain project-specific procedures to manage the project.
Prepare weekly, monthly progress and occasionally special reports.
Provide a clear definition of the roles and responsibilities of PM staff.
Attend coordination meetings, progress meetings as well as Executive meetings.
Monitor performance and take necessary measures to ensure the successful completion of the project. Ensure achieving the Key Performance Indicators and Client contractual requirements.
Advice the Client on any potential risks, claims, delays and cost overruns.
Advise the Client of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.
Review weekly and monthly reports prepared by the Design/Supervision Consultant(s) and Contractor.
Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Experience, Qualification, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized University.
Must have a minimum 20 years of experience including 8 years in the UAE and Abu Dhabi in a similar position including high value and complex projects with expert knowledge leading and delivering multibillion projects within the project management industry.
Exceptional Leadership Skills, possessing a collaborative management style, and ability to work in a multi-discipline team format.
Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work-related issues.
Strong Management and communication skills.
