Job details
I. JOB PURPOSE
1. Monitors de-inking operation through the ABB Distributive Control System and ensures smooth and continuous operation.
II. KEY RESULTS AREAS (Key Accountabilities)
1. Conducts field checks of all equipment every hour.
2. Coordinates stock delivery to the Paper Machine.
3. Communicates all problems to the Shift Leader immediately to prevent downtime.
4. Maintains log of all abnormalities and problems noted during the operation.
5. Prepares all chemicals needed during operations.
6. Communicates / coordinates with incoming DIP Operator and informs him on the performance of DIP Operation to facilitate smooth turn-over of operation.
7. Maintains DIP control room in a clean and organized condition at all times.
8. Follows Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and instructions.
9. Reports any hazardous or unsafe conditions to direct superior.
10. Uses tools and equipment safely and wears the required per¬sonal protective equipment.
11. Uses tools and equipment for their intended purposes and stored them properly.
12. Seeks assistance if unsure of Health & Safety precautions or Environmental impacts.
13. Performs other duties that may assign by the Shift Leader.
III. JOB CONTEXT & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (important features of job including internal environment, external environment & framework)
1. Has technical know-how on De-Inking Plant Operation.
2. Has background on Distributed Control System (DCS) and other controlling systems for both electrical and mechanical equipment.
3. Has technical know-how on wastepaper quality requirements.
4. Possesses good troubleshooting skills - both mechanical and electrical.
