Then we have a unique opportunity at to work as a Specialist Team Manager to work on enhancing operational performance and service for our vulnerable customers.


The purpose of the role is to service our Deaf and Hearing impaired customers (including BSL (British Sign Language) communication support) to approximately 90,000 Deaf customers; 10,000 of which require specialist correspondence.


We want you to be creative by developing and implementing innovative ways of communicating with Deaf customers whilst understanding the vulnerable requirements of OFGEM.


If you have the skills and passion to make a difference then this role would be perfect as you'll be able to bring what you know to and be an ambassador to the business and our customers.


You'll manage; coach and up skill the team to support a full range of customer services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing customers via multiple channels (Skype, Email, Live Chat, Text Messaging and Minicom) but also develop and document process maps for each channel of customer service.
Qualifications



What do we need from you?


  • High standard of BSL, working towards or achieved Level 6 BSL.
  • Experience in a communication role with people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Demonstrate a passion for providing best in class customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Plan and organise own workload to agreed deadlines and performance criteria.
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and experience. Understanding of Deaf Issues and how these might be overcome by
  • Proactive approach to knowledge sharing and continual improvement.

  • Making sure I understand any regulations, policies and processes which relate to the job role and provide fair outcomes when giving service to our customers.





It would be great if you had:



  • Experience in leading teams through on-going change, creating a shared understanding and focus on benefits
  • The ability to identify gaps in knowledge/skill/behaviour of direct reports and support directed and self-managed learning to fill those gaps.
  • The ability to be proactive and work on own initiative without supervision, making decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
  • Self-motivation and drive.
