Key Accountabilities: - Provide security services to protect people and assets at museums and exhibitions/QM buildings, stores and external sites, including monitoring operations in security control rooms and overseeing the onsite contractor security staff - Implement QM security policy and procedures - Oversee daily activities and performance of contract security staff in relation to security services at all QM buildings/at museum & exhibition - Implement access control procedures to control the movement of people and objects in all QM buildings/ at museum & exhibitions - Oversee security control room operations at museum & exhibitions/in all QM buildings, stores, heritage and external sites - Report and keep record of all security incidents, including breaches and irregularities - Coordinate security for VIP’s with government agencies (Ministry of Interior, CID, etc.) - Work closely with Guest Services, FM, IT, Management Services, Storage & Acquisition and relevant departments at museum & exhibitions/QM building - Activate responses to effectively manage incidents and emergencies. - Implement security awareness programs for advancing security responsibility among employees and contractors - Train security guards on QM security policy & procedures - Monitor contractor performance, provides regular feedback for improvement - Ensure that security guards comply with QM’s policies, processes, practices. - Conduct onsite security inspections. - Determine security requirements for the sites under responsibility, such as number of guards and equipment. - Provide security support to exhibitions and events. - Resolve any complaints between QM external visitors and the contracted security staff - Issue penalties for non-compliance. - Coordinate activities of outsourced security guards - Monitor the attendance of the contracted security contracted staff and requests for changes in personnel if required. - Find replacements in case of absence of security men during off hours if needed. - Maintain the master key system through reporting all access problems - Oversee the opening and closing of all building facilities and offices - Complete daily report and forms whenever applicable such as attendance sheet, daily logbook etc. Qualifications/Requirements: - High school diploma and certificate in security or related discipline - Minimum of 5 years’ relevant security experience, which at least 3 years should be in a supervisory role is an advantage. - Experience in corporate security is an advantage
