Design Manager

Minimum 10 years’ experience with minimum 5 years’ consultancy background - Extensive design experience from concept through to construction, across a range of project types including residential, commercial, hospitality, medical, educational, high-rise and infrastructure developments. - Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale multidisciplinary designs, on time and within budget. - Ability to successfully manage clients and other significant internal and external stakeholders. - Extensive experience in preparing design briefs, fee proposals, winning jobs. - Developing and agreeing job work packages, budget, and progress with other team leaders - Managing and chairing technical coordination meetings and interdisciplinary checks with project team - Implementing SID “Safety in Design” - Working knowledge of international building codes and standards - Ability to support project team in obtaining local authority approvals. - Demonstrate a high level of BIM workflows, tools, processes and management knowledge. - Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of Revit and workflow. - Design Management of multi-disciplines projects. - Arrange and lead design workshops with other discipline teams on the project. - Knowledge in sustainability and GSAS procedures and requirements. - Knowledge in Specifications - Experience in Education projects is recommended/encouraged. - Preferably registered with a recognized international body. - High level of competency in using software such as MS Office, CAD, photoshop and Sketch Up. - Strong communication skills and able to clearly delegate tasks amongst the design team.
