IT PMO Manager
Description
**Job Purpose**: To build a PMO function from the ground up using standards and frameworks. Managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, developing policies and processes, running the projects from inception to handover to operations, and collaborating with other department leaders to develop projects and programs. **Roles and Responsibilities**: Collaborating with IT teams and other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects. Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables. Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation. Providing financial reports and budget outlines to Executives. Managing the project from start to finish. Initially this is an individual contributor role. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience and able to build the function in the business. Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes. Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines. Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification. Be the single point of contact for all internal and external requests for new business requirements and conduct an assessment on whether such requirements form project(s). Engagement with IT and on-IT SME’s to better utilize their time and validate business requirements. Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary. Monitoring expenditures in accordance with the budget. Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards. Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems. Implement document control policies and documentation templates. Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of the team. Excellent verbal and presentation skills. Ability to understand and able to speak business language and bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Able to present complex items in simple terms for senior management. Perform other tasks as assigned. **Job Qualifications**: Minimum 10 years of IT experience. At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position. Bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or a related field. A Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Certification will be advantageous. A minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory/managerial position may be advantageous. Strong leadership skills.
