Woodworks Estimator & Draftsman

Job Description: Key Responsibilities: - Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. - Consult with clients, vendors, and team members to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. - Prepare detailed drawings and layouts using CAD software. - Work with the design team to ensure specifications and designs meet client needs and budget. - Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as projects develop. - Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. - Conduct site visits and project meetings as necessary. - Maintain records of estimated and actual costs. - Keep abreast of changes in the industry and adjust estimates accordingly. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a woodwork’s estimator or in a similar role. - Proficient in CAD software and drafting techniques. - Strong understanding of woodworking processes and materials. - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. - Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Relevant educational background, such as a degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering is preferred.
