Description
**Cost Controller** **Responsibilities**: **1. Cost Analysis and Control**: - Develop and maintain robust costing systems for F&B operations, including food, beverage, and associated supplies. - Analyze cost variances and identify areas of improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce wastage. - Implement cost control measures to achieve targeted profit margins without compromising quality standards. **2. Inventory Management**: - Monitor inventory levels of F&B items, ensuring accuracy in stock counts and reconciliation. - Implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess stock and prevent shortages. - Regularly audit inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. **3. Menu Engineering and Pricing**: - Collaborate with chefs and F&B managers to analyze menu profitability and pricing strategies. - Conduct menu engineering to optimize profitability by adjusting portion sizes and ingredient choices. - Recommend pricing adjustments based on cost analysis and market trends. **4. Budgeting and Forecasting**: - Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts for F&B operations. - Track actual performance against budgeted targets and provide insights on financial deviations. - Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost allocation. **5. Vendor Management**: - Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing agreements to secure competitive rates. - Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and reliability. - Continuously seek opportunities to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality standards. **6. Process Improvement**: - Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost-saving initiatives within F&B operations. - Implement best practices in costing methodologies to enhance overall operational efficiency. **Qualifications and Skills**: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Cost Controller, preferably within the F&B industry. - Strong understanding of F&B cost control principles and inventory management. - Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Contract Contract length: 12 months Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
