**Job Objective/Summary** The purpose of this position is to ensure, and implement regularity and control over UNITED GULF relevant Accountancy related requirements. The Accountant’s roles, responsibilities and authorities are defined in order to be incorporated into the existing Finance activities. For this, UG has identified an Accountant whose roles and responsibilities are listed below. **Job Context** Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Secures financial information by completing data base backups. Maintains financial security by following internal controls. Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. Accomplishes the result by performing the duty. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Any other related task assigned by company from time to time **Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Requirements** **Mandatory to be available in Qatar** **Certified Public Accountant or any relevant certification** **NOC** Minimum Qualifications: B.Com or any relevant degree in finance and accounting Minimum Experience: 8 to 10 years GCC experience as an Accountant Should be able to handle all the relevant accounting aspects independently with less supervision and maximizing the productivity of the Assistant Accountant. Experience in monthly and annual closing of books of accounts, preparation of financial statements, statutory audit, treasury operations, presentable to external parties such as customers, bankers, lawyers. Knowledge of GP system and good communications. Job-Specific Skills: Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Research Results, Tax Law.
