**Key Roles & Responsibilities** - Identify and communicate relevant ‘Regulatory and Other Obligations’, providing advice on the specific requirements within the Department and Business Unit’s ‘Regulatory Compliance Register’ to enable compliance - Keep abreast of applicable new developments, including changes in Legislation and Port State requirements, and incorporate these into the Company’s safety management system - Measure compliance and implementation levels, providing detailed reports to senior management in a timely manner - Provide technical support to operational managers on potential conflicts between the business unit and clients, regulatory authorities, or other interested parties - Coordinate International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Safety Management (ISM) international standards related activity for the Department and Business Unit inclusive of audit planning, scheduling,review, issue of corrective actions and monitor corrective actions until their completion - Liaise with Classification Societies for Annual, Periodic & Renewal Audits of ISM Code relevant certification while act on audit reports and any non-conformance they raise - Assist Safety Manager - Marine in creation of bespoke technical procedures, specialist manuals and forms (pertaining to International Maritime Organisation and other regulatory bodies) in order to provide the department and business unit documented work procedures and processes, support business continuity, provide continual improvement and operate to international standards in line with client, contractual and legal requirements - Facilitate investigations in accordance with procedural requirements and document HSEQ incidents providing detailed reports - Establish and maintain document control of relevant documents, both ashore & aboard ships - Facilitate HSEQ coaching for all levels of business unit management and personnel including, but not limited to, International Safety Management (ISM) Code, etc. and monitor the delivery of agreed performance expectations - Maintain the acceptability of the vessels with Oil Majors over and above the Charter Party requirements - Maintain and improve the Contingency Plan to manage situations of emergency with defined roles and responsibilities for ship and shore-based personnel - As assigned, participate in business unit and/or site(s) HSE committees - Perform other job-related duties as assigned **Professional Experience**: - 10 years of sailing experience with not less than 3 years practical senior level experience in ship management operations - 3 years of on-shore experience **Geographic Experience**: - Advanced MS Excel and Power Point skills **Computer Skills**: - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office **Language Skills**: - Fluent spoken and written English - Ability to write high level reports of a precise nature **Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge**: - Good technical and operational knowledge of shipping operations and services - Knowledge of Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA) & Ship Inspection Report Programmed (SIRE) **Salary**: QAR20,000.00 - QAR35,000.00 per month Application Question(s): - Do you have Good technical and operational knowledge of shipping operations and services? - Do you have good Knowledge of Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA) & Ship Inspection Report Programme (SIRE)? - Do you have auditor qualification and Training and Assessment qualification at Level 4 or higher? - Have you read JD?
