System Engineer (Application Support)
Description
**About role**: Application Support of vendor systems - Responsible for Release, Incident and Change management activities of the responsible Applications. - Coordination with Vendors and internal team members for Defect/Incident resolutions. - Business User Support activities. - Provide Out-of-Office hours support in case of critical Production incidents. - Provide timely updates to all stake holders on Incidents resolution progress and prepare post incident Root Cause Analysis report. - Perform daily health checks to ensure the Systems are healthy and available for business use. - Work with the Infrastructure team (server & storage, network, DBA) for fulfilling support, release and change management activities. - Participate in the weekly review meeting with business and vendors. - Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures. - Preparing Application maintenance plans and upgrade schedules. **Be part of an extraordinary story** Your skills. Together, everything is possible. **Qualifications**: **Skills required**: - Bachelor's level, Bachelors/Masters or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering with minimum 6 years relevant experience. - Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes. - Expertise in oracle procedure and Unix shell scripting is must. - Working experience in production support process. - Exposure to configuration management process. - Should be available to take support calls as required by project. - Knowledge on MS Azure Fundamentals and Administration. Certification on these would be an added advantage. - Experience in additional technology like weblogic is an added advantage. - Very good communication skill (Written and Oral). **About Qatar Airways Group** Our story started with four aircraft.
