Amana Healthcare Services understands that the quality nursing care is the main priority in rendering the Healthcare Services and also focused in delivering care appropriate to the values and culture of Qatar. **Scope of the Job**: To maintain Best Practice Standards of Professional Nursing care under the supervision of the Head Nurse overseen by the Medical Director. Providing adequate quality of care as required by any individual clinical event and as dictated by Department of Healthcare Professionals of the Ministry of Public Health, Qatar, as well as the policies and procedures of Amana Healthcare Services, all within the scope of their knowledge and educational awareness. **Essential Duties of a Nurse**: - Assess and formulate a plan of care as determined by the doctor in charge of the clinical case as well as other members of the healthcare team. - Maintain a detailed patient record with all vital parameters as required by the policies of Amana healthcare. - Record all aspects of the patient statistics and notes as soon as the data is measured so as to maintain a proper timeline on patient care. - Ensure continuity of patient care by proper transfer and endorsement of patient records to the next nurse on duty as well as the Clinical management team. - Display proper understanding of medication usage and viability with proper stock keeping and monitoring of expiry dates. - Maintain standards of equipment use as per best practice including understanding of calibrations and physiological parameters. - Acquire and update required skills for Patient and Family education on proper patient care, medication and required follow up. - Proper decision-making process including emergency and critical care process with detailed understanding of points of contact and emergency numbers. - Maintain accurate patient Identification protocol before any treatment or medication with crosschecking of Qatar ID and Health card number to eliminate erroneous procedures and medications. - Develop proper communication skills up and down the chain of responsibility, with all incidents and concerns recorded and reported to the Senior / Head nurse and further escalation to the Medical Director as seen fit. - Maintain CME / CPD accreditations as required by the DHP of the Ministry of Public Health to maintain your privileges and license as a healthcare practitioner. **CORE COMPETENCIES**: 1.
