**Senior Electrical Engineer**: **Qatar**: **Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Electrical Engineer **to join our team! In this role you will get to **provides site supervision, technical review, technical support, and advice on electrical infrastructure works for the Project & Construction Managers**: **What You'll Be Doing**: - **Carry out thorough site inspections and survey to ensure that work is carried out to the appropriate standards and as per the contract’s approved design, scope and specifications.**: - **Perform Engineering studies in order to identify and recommend areas for optimization of electrical installations, material selection and general arrangements to achieve more value and and optimal quantity of required construction materials.**: - **Validate the electrical subcontractors/Consultants’ proposals and advice management of the recommendation for appointment of electrical subcontractors/Consultants**: - **Liaison with the design team to make sure that the electrical drawings & design are asper the local regulations & international standards & contract specifications.**: - **Conduct the technical reviews of electrical engineering and construction documents, such as: shop drawings, material submittals, method of statements,etc and provide comments and discuss and explain comments to the contractor and the electrical subcontractor to help obtain approvals at different stages of the project**: - **Conduct due diligence of the consultant, contractor, suppliers etc. to recommend Electrical service providers for the project**: - **Support in conducting technical analysis of tender bids**: - **Review Electrical network layout drawings (11 k V and 415 V) proposed by the contractor/consultant to submit and obtain Kahramaa / Authority approvals for various Construction packages**: - **Monitor and control the progress of the project and standard of the worked livered by the contractor and the consultant to ensure that the project specifications and approved parameters are met (Electrical aspect)**: - **Ensure the Project parameters for Electrical and Infrastructure projects are met in line with agreed project objectives e.g. time, costs and quality**: - **Review, comment and validate any changes from approved tender documents proposed by consultants / contractors.**: - **Review the cost and time impact submitted by consultants and advise the project manager, contracts manager and projects control the actual impact and mitigation measures.**: - **Coordinate internally with project manager and contracts department and assist them to obtain necessary GTAC/ internal approval as per client procedure.**: **What Required Skills You’ll Bring**: - **4-year degree in electrical engineering.**: - **12+ years experience**: - **Proficient experience in electrical engineering on infrastructure projects involving design and construction of infrastructure electrical HV, MV, LV & ELV systems**: - **Experience in the factory acceptance and other testing and commissioning activities of these systems.**: - **Good written and oral communication.**: - **Proven ability to perform key technical role.**: - **Experience in testing and commissioning of these systems.**: - **Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.**: - **Knowledge of current technology and its effective use on the project**: **What Desired Skills You’ll Bring**: - **Ensure compliance to relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined**: - **Continually research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies in order to keep abreast of state-of-the art developments**: - **Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with mínimal guidance**: **Minimum Clearance Required to Start**: Not Applicable/None Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
