Cost Control Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Control Engineer with proven experience in landscape construction projects. The ideal candidate will support project teams by monitoring budgets, controlling expenditures, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to achieve cost-effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain cost control systems for landscape construction projects. Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking reports. Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions. Review BOQs, cost breakdowns, and progress reports for hardscape, softscape, and irrigation works. Coordinate with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, and QS teams to ensure accurate financial data. Verify and process subcontractor and supplier invoices, variations, and claims. Prepare monthly cost reports and assist in forecasting project cash flows. Participate in tendering and estimation activities for upcoming projects. Support in identifying value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs. Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Finance. Minimum 3–7 years of experience in cost control within the construction industry, preferably in landscape projects. Strong understanding of landscape works, including softscape, hardscape, and irrigation systems. Proficient in MS Excel and ERP or cost control software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Knowledge of FIDIC contracts or similar standards is an advantage. Excellent analytical and reporting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
