Database Administrator – SQL/Oracle Specialist Join to apply for the Database Administrator – SQL/Oracle Specialist role at ECCO Gulf WLL.ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking an experienced Database Administrator – SQL/Oracle Specialist to join our dynamic team in Qatar. As a key member of our IT division, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems supporting critical applications and infrastructure.Your role involves managing SQL/Oracle databases, ensuring data availability, security, integrity, and performance. You will collaborate with IT, engineering, and development teams to support enterprise needs.Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL/Oracle databases for performance and reliability.Monitor and tune database performance to enhance efficiency.Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.Manage database software updates and patches.Implement security measures including access controls and encryption.Conduct health checks, capacity planning, and performance assessments.Develop documentation for procedures, schemas, and configurations.Support application integration and schema changes.Assist with data migration and transformation processes.Implement high-availability configurations like replication and clustering.Troubleshoot database incidents and perform root cause analysis.Stay updated with database management trends and tools.Ensure compliance with IT policies and data governance standards.Perform other duties related to database and infrastructure support.Required Profile We seek a professional with a strong background in database administration, enterprise system support, and the following: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.At least 5 years of experience managing SQL Server and Oracle databases.Expertise in managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise databases.Knowledge of PL/SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database architecture.Experience with clustering, replication, backup/recovery, and high-availability solutions.Familiarity with ITIL practices, change management, and ticketing systems.Proficiency with monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager or SQL Profiler.Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive system management.Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.Relevant certifications (e.g., OCP, Microsoft Azure DBA, ITIL Foundation) are mandatory.Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology Industries: Outsourcing and Offshoring Consulting Referrals can increase your chances of interviewing at ECCO Gulf WLL. #J-18808-Ljbffr
