University Hospital or Teaching Hospital)Note : Not mandatory for the required years of experience to be the most recent experience provided that there is no break of practice.Specification An Interventional Radiologist is a medical specialist who uses real-time imaging (ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy) to perform minimally invasive procedures as alternatives to surgery, offering lower risk and faster recovery.Key Procedures Vascular : Angioplasty, stents, thrombolysis, uterine fibroid embolization, varicose vein treatment Oncology : Tumor ablation, chemoembolization, radioembolization, image-guided biopsies Biliary / Genitourinary : Biliary drains, nephrostomies, ureteral stents Drainage : Abscess, pleural, and peritoneal fluid drainage Imaging Expertise IRs use advanced imaging to plan, guide, and verify procedures—ensuring precision, safety, and optimal outcomes.Patient-Centered Role They evaluate patients, explain procedures, obtain consent, and provide post-procedure care, often collaborating with specialists in oncology, surgery, gynecology, and urology. #J-18808-Ljbffr
