Job Description ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXTJob Title Lead- Sr. Windows and Cloud System Administration Years Of Experience10yrs +Service Line Managed Service Department Managed Services Location Doha SCOPESummary The Windows Administration Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of Windows-based infrastructure environments, including virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, as well as cloud-based systems. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and performance of client systems while providing leadership and technical direction to the Windows administration team.Lead the installation, configuration, hardening, and ongoing administration of Windows Server environments.Manage and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures, ensuring systems are aligned with performance and security best practices.Implement standard operating procedures and technical documentation to support scalable operations.Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and ensure the optimal functioning of Linux servers.Proven experience in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.Strong hands-on experience with VMware v Sphere, Hyper-V, and virtual machine lifecycle management.Experience in Microsoft 365, Azure cloud services, and Power Shell scripting.Solid understanding of storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.Knowledge of ITSM tools and processes, including incident, change, and configuration management.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.Security: Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and regular patching and updates to safeguard the systems.Storage Infrastructure: Manage storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.Recovery: maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.Backup administration and managing VMware Workloads Microsoft 365 Administration: Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.Storage Monitoring: Continuously monitor and manage storage systems for performance and capacity.Cloud administration and Security: Deploy VMs and network and implement and manage security protocols to protect cloud-based systems and data.Job Responsibility Key Responsibilities1. Virtualization & Hypervisor Management Oversee and manage virtualization platforms including VMware v Sphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.Administer and optimize virtual machine environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, migration, and lifecycle management.Monitor hypervisor environments to ensure high availability, efficient resource utilization, and business continuity.3. Storage & Backup Administration Manage enterprise storage infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance with backup policies.Administer backup and recovery operations for both physical and virtual workloads.Develop and maintain DR (Disaster Recovery) and business continuity plans.4. Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive, and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.Deploy and manage virtual machines, storage, and network resources in Azure or hybrid cloud environments.Implement and maintain cloud security policies, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.5. Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting Proactively monitor system health, availability, and performance using appropriate tools.Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.Ensure the team maintains detailed logs and documentation for incidents, changes, and service requests.6. Security & Compliance Implement and manage system security measures including patching, access control, firewall configuration, and antivirus management.Coordinate with the cybersecurity team to address vulnerabilities and ensure systems are compliant with security standards.7. Leadership & Coordination Act as the technical lead and escalation point for Windows infrastructure-related issues.Mentor and guide junior administrators, ensuring the team follows best practices and ITIL-based processes.Collaborate with other IT departments (e.g., network, service desk, cloud) to ensure seamless support delivery.Supervision Qualification(Special behavioral skills, knowledge, experience, and Education needed for the satisfactory performance of the job)Knowledge And Experience Experience: 10 Years in Windows/Linux on Vmware and Storage System administration Primarily Skills And Experiences Manage and administrate all Linux and Windows infrastructure services on Vmware and Azure Cloud.Azure Cloud administration.Hands on experience on VMware/Hyper-V and Vsphere and its operations Maintain updated patch management process and assure all infrastructure components are patched.Monitor system logs and activity on all Windows and Linux environment.Perform regular firmware assessment and upgrade.Coordinate with 3rd party suppliers/vendors the replacement of defective hardware on clients and servers as necessary.Update software and hardware inventory and documents.Backup administration.Provide scripts to automate regular tasks and jobs.Requirements Hands on experience on administrating Windows/RHE.Strong background on Blade HW technologies.VMware Vsphere administration and its operations including v Sphere/ESX, VMware View, v Center, Site Recovery Manager, Hyper-V running in enterprise environments.Hands on experience on Storage and SAN administration.Azure Cloud administration.Ability to work varying hours and shifts.Education: A Bachelors in Engineering in Computer Science or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience.Certifications Certificate Knowledge level Joining Time Certification Target date“If not available”University Degree in Computer Science or a related subject Must Have Red Hat Certified System Administration (RHCSA)Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)Azure Administrator Associate ITIL Foundation V3 or V4VMware VCP-DCVCompetences(Skills, knowledge, and behaviors)Language Skills Arabic Fluent in written and spoken Good to have English Fluent in written and spoken Must have Hindi Fluent in written and spoken Good to have Personal Skills Seniors & Above Positions All Positions Leadership Must Have Customer Focus Must Have Problem Solving Must Have Collegiality Must Have Communication Must Have Initiative Must Have People Management Must Have Efficiency Must Have Conflict Management Must Have Coach ability Must Have Negotiation Must Have The Job holder may be required to undertake additional duties, which may be reasonably expected and forms part of the function of the job. #J-18808-Ljbffr
