Architect
Description
-The Architect is responsible for evaluating architectural plans and providing technical recommendations for design modifications, construction compliance, and permit approvals within the respective sector. The role includes supporting planning, inspection, and quality assurance activities to ensure architectural standards and statutory regulations are met, while enhancing the built environment for investors and stakeholders in the company.-Review and evaluate architectural designs for minor upgrades and additional construction works on assigned land plots and pre-built buildings.-Provide design recommendations to ensure compliance with the company’s regulations, aesthetic standards, and functional requirements.-Coordinate with relevant government and statutory authorities to obtain necessary approvals in line with project timelines.-Develop and/or review preliminary designs, detailed building permit drawings, working drawings, functional plans, specifications, and cost estimates.-Prepare architectural layouts including foundation plans, floor plans, and schematic designs aligned with project goals and zoning requirements.-Support the Manager and Head of Site Planning and Building Control in developing departmental plans, design guidelines, and budget proposals.-Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of construction against approved plans and architectural standards.-Collaborate with Inspectors and other department teams to verify construction alignment, levels, elevations, and adherence to design intent and safety codes.-Document inspections with logs and photographic evidence, report any deviations or risks identified during site monitoring.-Examine architectural plans for building alterations or extensions and provide inputs to facilitate issuance of building work approvals.-Coordinate submittals, reviews, and approvals of design packages, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.-Supervise and ensure architectural elements are integrated with the company’s building control policies and urban planning frameworks.-Participate in design meetings with investors, consultants, and internal teams to align project requirements, feedback, and approvals.-Travel to project sites and attend client meetings to provide architectural expertise and gather input.-Contribute to creating a performance-driven, collaborative work environment.-Support and participate in organizational cultural initiatives to improve employee engagement and alignment with the company’s values.-Attend mandated professional and cultural development training.Experience: -Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design, project review, and site inspections.-Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office.
