Investment Banking Analyst/Associate

Job Role: Analyst / Associate Division: Investment Banking Location: Dubai What We Offer: We are looking for a talented individual with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join the Investment Banking team of the firm to work across multiple sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, natural resources, power and energy across Africa, Asia and developed markets. Working out of our Dubai office, the position offers strong career progression with the opportunity to develop advanced financial structuring expertise and applied quantitative skills. You will gain exposure across a broad range of investment banking services—including sovereign advisory, corporate financing (debt and equity) and capital raising. As part of a highly experienced team, you will contribute to the development of quantitative tools, financial models, and data-driven analyses to support strategic advice for our clients.What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate should have: Minimum 3 years’ experience in investment banking or investment management;Transaction execution experience (corporate financing, M&A and/or capital raise);Strong quantitative skills, with a solid grounding in applied financial mathematics and probability theory;Advanced financial modelling expertise, including proficiency in Excel (VBA a plus), Monte Carlo simulations, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modelling;Familiarity with Python, R, or other statistical/programming tools used in financial analysis is a strong advantage;Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with a high level of attention to numerical accuracy and detail;Solid understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, and relevant accounting standards;Advanced knowledge of capital markets, structured products, and financial instruments;Good team player but also able to work independently;Self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and take the initiative to broaden own knowledge;Fluency in one or more European languages other than English desirable but not essential;Africa and/or Emerging markets transaction experience desirable but not essential.University degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance)About Us Cygnum Capital is a specialist investment banking and asset management firm focused on emerging and frontier markets.
