Assistant Recreation Manager
Description
Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software. Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, and inform the manager of low supply items. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility to ensure the safety and welfare of guests and members. Observe activities in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedures in case of an emergency. Be aware of situations where guests may not safely participate in an activity and inform the supervisor or manager. Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive. Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies. Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities. Communicate clearly and professionally; answer telephones with proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships. Process orders or transactions and collect payments as necessary. Ensure adherence to quality standards; identify, recommend, and implement ways to improve organizational quality. Read and verify information in various formats. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects. Use computers and point of sale systems to enter and locate work-related information. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and over 50 pounds with assistance. Handle objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
