Key Performance Areas

• Ensuring vehicle checklist is complete while doing inspection

• Safety checks include but are not limited to the following: Tires, pre-start checklist, fire extinguisher, license validity, hooking and unhooking of trailers.

• The driver is responsible for the loading of his truck regarding the safety and weight.

• The driver is responsible for the cleanliness of his truck at all times

• Maintain health and safety within the department at all times.

Knowledge and skills requirements




 Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a code 14 with PDP
 Valid code 14 license with valid PDP


Valid medical documents (red ticket)


Complete PPE (safety boots, overalls)


Must be able to communicate in Afrikaans and English, verbally and Written


 Must be neat and able to communicate with customers
