Confidential Company for tourism and entertainment was established in 2008, is looking for an General Manager - CEO.
The company's mission is to bring joy and sense of adventure to the residents of the ;The holding that the company belongs to, was established over 30 years ago and has a portfolio of investments that ranges from real-estate development, education, retail and industrial investments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in tourism, event planning, project management or hospitality. Masters is preferred
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic;
• At least 5-10 years of relevant work experience (tour operator, camp manager, event planner or activity manager)
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to handle employees, management and other third party companies.
JOB HOURS:
• 6 days a week
• Hours ranges based on business needs
MEDICAL INSUREANCE:
• Will be provided
VACATION:
• 30 days paid vacation after completion of 11 months of employment.
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Design and develop events and activities to be implemented in different projects under the Ajwaad umbrella.
• Create a tourism package using the targeted activities then market/sell them to travel agencies.
• Identify new markets and sources of business that present additional revenue earning
• Innovative mind with a drive to develop new ideas and activities in line with desert camping.
• Gather information on trends and popularity in activities and packages and adjust company plans accordingly.
• Develop marketing campaigns to promote the destination.
• Resort management, camp management, event management and activities background.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to assemble and manage project teams and their deliverables.
• Create standards for conduct as they pertain to camp staff and campers
• Contributing significantly to the growth and profitability by identifying major business opportunities.
• Guide, direct, develop, motivate and manage the performance of all direct reports
• Directly accountable for the achievement the company revenue, targets and profitability, as well as for the budgeting and effective utilization of overhead expenses, manpower resources and capital expenditure.
• Delegate projects to and supervise account executive that will assist in deliverables.
• Establish sales and marketing plans with the business development manager.
• Develop business plan as necessary to capitalize on opportunities leading to incremental revenue and/or cost reduction.
• Administer the approved budget for each project including the initial preparation and final reconciliation of each projects budget.

• Approve resort budgets, defining and directing changes, as required.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, predicting potential highs and lows in business and initiate necessary changes, analyses variances and initiate appropriate action plans.
• Stay conscious of market trends to ensure activities respond to these conditions.
• Review forecasts and balanced scorecard, maximize profitability, increase service levels and improve team member satisfaction.
• Support Business Development team with client visits.
• Oversee the sales and marketing activity and results, lead and/or participate in sales and marketing strategy meetings as needed.
• Create and maintain relationships with key revenue producing customers.
• Monitor high potential department heads and team member activity, develops the skills and abilities of direct reports and ensures their growth within the company.
• Manages and keeps communication level high with the quality control, sales & marketing manager and entertainment manager.
• Insures that each resort manager has the tools they need to success
.
• Empower HOD to take ownership for their own people management issues.
