Pre-Tender MEP Quantity Surveyor
Only candidates who meet the following criteria will be considered:
7 - 10 years' pre-tender MEP quantity surveying experience contracting organisations with a minimum of 4 years' experience in the Gulf region.
Excellent working knowledge of FIDIC and RICS standards and UAE municipality construction and health & safety regulations.
Bachelor's Degree (BEng) in Quantity Surveying is mandatory
Currently living in the Gulf with a valid GCC driving license.
Fluent in English - must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Fluency in Hindi is mandatory.
Client Profile
Our client is a well-established holding organisation with a diverse portfolio of businesses including trading and construction and we are recruiting an experienced pre-tender MEP quantity surveyor with experience in mixed use high rise commercial, residential and industrial projects from a general contracting construction and MEP organisation to join their team in Muscat, Oman.
The Role
Review tender documents related to instructions, conditions, specifications and drawings and prepare contract ;
Conduct site visits and meeting with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects and government entities.
Prepare contractor and vendor evaluation criteria for materials, equipment and services' quality, price and specification compliance.
Prepare project specifications and cost estimates and planning, cash flow charts and BOQ for pre-contract concept, schematic and detail stages.
Prepare documents and contracts for insurance, professional indemnity and bonds.
Conduct vendor submission analysis and prepare evaluations.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
7 - 10 years' pre-tender MEP quantity surveying experience contracting organisations with a minimum of 4 years' experience in the Gulf.
Excellent working knowledge of FIDIC and RICS standards and UAE municipality construction and health & safety regulations.
Strong experience in pre-tender and take off cost analysis, vendor price negotiation, report writing, contract and tender preparation, client relationship management
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office including Excel and ERP systems.
GCC driving license is mandatory.
Education
Bachelor's Degree (BEng) in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory
Candidate Profile
Currently living in the GCC, preferably in Oman.
Fluent in English - must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Fluency in Hindi is mandatory.
Aged between 30 - 40 years.
