General Contracting Construction Estimator
Only candidates who meet the following criteria will be considered:
7 - 10 years' experience in general contracting construction estimation with the ability to review, interpret and analyze project documentation, technical drawings, specifications, data and commercial terms and perform quantity take-offs from project drawings and prepare RFQs.
Proficient use of MS Office including Excel, Oracle ERP and AutoCAD.
Bachelor's Degree (BEng) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying
Currently living in the Gulf region, preferably in Oman.
Fluent in English and Hindi.
Client Profile
Our client is leading general construction and MEP contracting organisation and we are recruiting an experienced estimator from a general contracting and MEP construction background to join their team in Muscat, Oman. The role will focus on reviewing and analyzing tender documents and preparing cost estimation submissions.
Responsibilities
Conduct site visits to develop detailed build and design cost estimates for pre-tender mixed use, residential, commercial and industrial construction projects.
Prepare scope of work and invitations to bid for subcontractors.
Establish schedules of subcontractor pricing for materials, equipment, insurance and bonds, on-site facilities, project schedules, support costs and manpower.
Participate in bid and tender proposals.
Review subcontractor and vendor proposals and participate in the selection based on quality and cost.
Liaise with clients for clarifications and obtain missing information for bids.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
