The Design and Estimation Engineer is responsible in creating engineering principles in designing MEPF Projects and products across a variety of industries, from electronics and construction to aerospace, automative and manufacturing. The job includes doing extensive research and occasionally overseeing the project progress. Design and Estimation Engineer are also involved in the entire life cycle of the product. He is also responsible in making corrections and changes to provide support and maintenance services in compliance with contract agreement with client and Company regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare detailed estimate for different projects.

Prepares complete, accurate estimates with defined scope of work for different projects.

Interacts with different Organizations to review and discuss and estimate project scope.

Reviews design quotations and drawings.

Studies and interprets drawings and technical specifications to develop an accurate project proposal.

Develops time-phase charts and learning curves for Electrical LV/HV systems and MEPF projects.

Provides assistance to Sales Engineers and other Departments on technical queries of clients and suppliers.

Review and verify project bill of quantities, tender documents and other project requirements.

Perfoms cooling load and other engineering calculations/estimations.

Assists in pre-bidding of Sub-contractors by providing bid documents and explaining the design concept and technical requirement of the project.

Attend technical meeting/coordination as requirement by clients.

Assists Design Engineers in technical calculations/documentations and other related design and estimation processes.

Responsible in making design drawings of Electrical LV/HV, MEPF and HVAC projects.

Mentors and provides assistance to other project team members.

Performs other related duties that maybe assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License in Electrical Engineering.

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

With extensive background in Design and Estimation gained from an Engineering or Contracting Company.

Experience in Electrical LV/HV systems, MEPF and HVAC design and estimation.
