The Technical Marketing Editor is responsible for creating concepts, narratives, and storylines based on the computing landscape market and data available. He or she also edits content used in specific marketing collaterals such as but not limited to technical papers, blog content, articles, and graphic copies. Specifically, the Technical Marketing Editor will work as part of a team of marketers/campaign leaders, writers, other editors, and graphic artists, and will take on the following responsibilities:
Conceptualize concepts and storylines for content development
Check and edit text to ensure logic and flow of content, grammar and spelling, and that all content is of the appropriate voice and style
Check facts and raise queries to involved parties in content development
Ensure that all illustrations and captions are correct before publishing
Adhere to the legal policies and raise discussions with Trend Micro legal team where content is concerned
Lay out text and graphics depending on the page design of each marketing collateral
Requirements:
At least 4 years' experience in web content writing
At least 3 years' experience in editing/copyediting
Excellent writing skills in English with good grasp of spelling and grammar required, strong technical writing skills an advantage
Detail-oriented, and ability to maintain high-quality work given deadlines
High interest and proficiency in computing, the Web, and surrounding technologies
Knowledge in HTML, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign an advantage
Creative, and ability to express ideas with confidence a plus
College degree (preferably in Communications, Marketing, or the Arts)
