SKILLS REQUIRED:
Able to perform a wide range of repairs on Bicycles.
Should be able to work alone and within a team of rebalancers and bike technicians.
Should be knowledgeable on the different kinds of spare parts used on bicycles.
Know how to properly maintain bicycles to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Can recognize and use various tools that are required to maintain bicycles.
Can use a LAPTOP and TAB and should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Should be able to manage the inventory of spare parts that are available in the store.
Should be able to communicate well in English and should be able to write short reports on daily activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assembling bikes
2. identifying faults, damage and wear
3. Repairing flat tires
4. Repairing and/or replacing damaged or worn-out components
5. Wheel truing (straightening bike wheels so that they are properly aligned)
6. Fitting accessories (lights, bell, basket bike stickers etc.)
7. Carrying out routine services and safety checks
8. Cleaning, degreasing and lubricating bicycles and components
9. Complete bike checkup:
10. Check for play in fork, headset and basket
11. Check for play in hubs(axle), fenders and bottom bracket
12. Check wheels and make sure all the spokes are true with reflectors and clean the spokes
13. Make sure lights are working and bell is ringing.
14. Check Gear shifting and make sure the yellow line is aligned on 4th gear
15. Clean chain (if necessary) and lube it
16. Adjust front and rear brakes and lube them
17. Adjust, set, and lube kickstand (and tighten kickstand frame mount bolts)
18. Check quick release seat post bolt and lube if necessary
19. Check pedals and its reflectors and lube the pedals
20. Adjust and lube triangle (popsicle)
21. Inflate rear tire to 55 psi and front tire to 50 psi
22. Clean off graffiti or unauthorized stickers and apply spray paint on scratches
23. Replace damage stickers and logos with new one
24. Clean bike and polish with Bike Lust
25. Test ride
