ROLES DESCRIPTION OF CAPTAIN: 

The Captain is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager and his assistants in the organization and supervision of service in the restaurant. A Restaurant Captain serves as a liaison between all staff member to ensure superior customer service.

Your main responsibilities as Captain:

• Maintains  a  GUEST  focus  while  performing  duties 
  
• Maintains  a  hygiene  level  required  by  the  local  Health  Department  and  ensures  that  food   sanitation,  safety  and  proper  food  handling  functions  are  practiced  on  a  daily  basis
  .
  
• Maintain  a  professional,  neat  and  well‐groomed  appearance,  adhering  to  ;
  
• Must  be  able  to  work  without  direct  supervision  is  ;
  
• Total  charges  for  table  and  group  functions,  and  prepare  and  present  checks  to  contacts for   payment.  
  
• Maintain  strict  control  of  the  bills.  
  
• Ensure  restaurant  is  ready  for  service.  
  
• Inspect  the  cleanliness  and  presentation  of  all  china,  glass,  and  silver  prior  to  use.   
  
• Check  in   with  guests to  ensure  satisfaction.  
  
• Communicate  additional  meal  requirements,  allergies,  dietary  needs,  and  special  requests   to  the  ;
  
• Welcome  and  acknowledge  all  guests   according  to  company  standards.
  
• Assist  restaurant  service  to  ensure  a  smooth  and  professional  operation  of  the  restaurant.  
  
• Develop  and  maintain  positive  working  relationships  with  others,  support  team  to  reach   common  goals,  and  listen  and  respond  appropriately  to  the  concerns  of  other  employees
  
•  Ensure  adherence  to  quality  expectations  and  standards.
  
• Advising  guests  on  menus  &  beverage  choices. Communicate  with  chefs,  management  and  employees  efficiently  with  proper  reporting, and  meetings.
  

Requirements:

• Must be good in Oral and written report both in English and Arabic
• Must have  2 years college diploma or minimum of Secondary diploma 
• Must have at least minimum of 2 years experience as a restaurant Captain of Middle Eastern Restaurant 
• Must be hardworking and Team player 
• Must be flexible and willing to relocate in Al Ain
