Job Overview:

To pick up food as soon as the cook or chef finishes the order, ensure that the order is complete and accurate, and then deliver the food to the dining room. You will deliver the tray of food to the table and steps aside for the server to place the plates in front of the correct diner, and responsible for placing the plates. Refills beverage orders, deliver checks, remove dirty dishes as diners complete each course or deliver condiments requested by guests.

Job Functions:

 To reset tables in a speedy professional and effective manner as guests leave the restaurant

 Responsible for the grooming of the entire restaurant and its perimeters, as well as supporting

 Servers and service staff with refills and clearing tables

Duties & Responsibilities

 Set and clear tables

 Stock all service stations and assists food servers with table service

 Reset all service ware as prescribed

 Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations

 Transport all dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning

 Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop

 Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed

 Communicate with server/hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service

 Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods

 Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift

 Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring plantain chips, sauces and water to table

 Clear tables after guests leave. Takes tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing

 Inspect assigned restroom every 15 minutes and clean as needed

 Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
