JOB PURPOSE
Undertaking procurement activities under the direction of the line manager to deliver the highest procurement standards as expected of Expo 2020


ROLE DESCRIPTION

STRATEGY AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
*  Delivering procurement to the highest standards as expected of Expo 2020
*  Data gathering of key supply chain KPI's, reporting data and delivering action plans

DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT
*  Day-to-day operations of procurement function, working with functional and stakeholder teams in order to achieve high performance standards

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
*  Ensure that contract creation, execution and analysis are carried out for maximizing operational and financial performance and minimizing risk
*  Adhere to the standard contract tendering and contractual documentation
*  Handle on going issue, change management and necessary modifications in the contract, ensuring both parties meet or exceed each other's Expectations
*  Monitor transaction compliance (milestone, deliverables, invoicing, etc.) to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled
*  Maintain Contractual records & documentation and ensure Contract close out, extension or renewal

PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMPLETION
*  Adhere to the procurement strategy document for key projects, report progress to ensure alignment to Expo 2020's overall strategy and objectives
*  Deliver the procurement process including procurement scheduling activities, scoping and tendering packages, evaluation, negotiation, finalisation and production of robust documentation in order to ensure compliance to set procurement policies and processes
*  Provide regular exception and performance reporting on resource and operational issues across all assignment to ensure any performance deviations are addressed in a timely manner

SAVINGS AND INITIATIVES
*  Implement effective cost management techniques and initiatives, and drive cost saving strategic initiatives to ensure that Expo 2020 gets best value for each dirham spend
*  Manage pricing and contract negotiations in line with changing business requirements

VENDOR MANAGEMENT
*  Monitor and report on supplier performance, and facilitate regular performance reviews with stakeholders in order to assess value and quality of supplier services / products and inform decision-making on future collaborations
*  Maintain and regularly update qualified business suppliers' database, in line with Expo 2020 business needs, to ensure data on suppliers is easily stored, accessed and retrieved

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
*  Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement in all activities and support for procurement strategy

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
*  Adhere to the procurement function policies, processes and procedures to ensure fulfillment of legislative / procedure requirements and alignment to operations

EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)
*  Comply with all relevant environment, health and safety procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
*  Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of procurement processes and practices taking into account 'international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

AD-HOC REQUESTS
*  Perform any other related duties or assignments as directed


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
*  High School Education
*  Industry qualified within procurement profession (MCIPS or equivalent) preferable
*  1-2 years of experience in a relevant field

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
*  Demonstration of good organisational, communication and IT skills
*  Knowledge of principles, methods and practices related to procurement
*  Technical knowledge of the range of procurement categories
*  Working knowledge of ERP Systems such as Oracle and SAP
*  Demonstrable experience of strategic procurement practices
*  Thorough knowledge of contractual terms and conditions
*  Thorough knowledge of international supply chain and logistics issues
*  Thorough understanding of commercial principles
