Our client, a major international manufacturer and distributor of high-tech cooking equipment in Canada is currently searching for an exceptional Regional Sales Director that will be based in Montreal and will be responsible for eastern Canada.



The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for managing and growing sales volume through management of the company's sales team and development of the partner network within multi-state territories. You will direct activities of 4 regional sales managers in selling unique cutting edge kitchen equipment which is used in over 70% of the kitchens in Europe.


You must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be passionate about the hospitality industry and what you are doing, be very well organized and have a methodical and systematic approach. The individuals we are seeking will be self-motivated, independent yet coach-able with a positive character. Strong computer skills are a must. Excel, Power Point, and other CRM systems.

Our client is seeking persons who can think and act as if the business belongs to them.

•Increase customer base of new unit sales by effectively coaching and developing the sales team

•Work within structured sales approach to enable sales team to meet activity targets

•Plan and record activities for all open business opportunities in CRM software

•Identify, secure and develop strategic business partners and multipliers, including independent rep organizations, distributors/dealers, etc, including initial and follow up visits with partners to promote activities and drive sales.
•Plan follow-up activities according to structured sales procedures

•Participate in or assist partners with regional trade shows and events when needed.

•Working with sales team to plan and perform structured Cooking demonstrations together with partners

•Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building capability

•Ability to work in cross functional, team oriented, and results driven organization


Must have 5 - 7 years of previous sales, sales management or business development experience and 3 years supervisory experience. Previous culinary (Ex Executive Chef) experience or strong interest in cooking/food and beverage. Skilled in the presentation of technically sophisticated manufactured goods. A Bachelor's degree in business and/or marketing is strongly desired for this key management role

Strong abilities to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Can present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

To be considered for this senior role, you must be fully Bilingual (French/English) and our client has a strong preference for individuals that are presently located in Quebec but are open to anyone in Canada.


The salary will be a base of $90,000 with an exceptional and obtainable targeted bonus, a company car as well as excellent company benefits and retirement plan will be offered to the right individual. Please Note: In this role at least 40% travel is required, typically including continuous overnight stays
