Tasks What you'll do: Serve as the main point of contact between EMEA customer engineering teams and airline/component customers, ensuring smooth communication in a matrix environment. Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer engineering teams and represent customer needs internally. Explain Lufthansa Technik’s engineering processes (e.g., certifications, approvals, modifications) and ensure customer expectations are aligned. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Process, and Engineering teams to address technical challenges and improve service delivery. Travel to customer sites and global hubs for technical discussions and project support as needed. Support with technical presentations, documentation, and data analysis; contribute to customer reviews and feedback loops. Monitor MRO industry trends and bring customer insights into internal innovation efforts. Contribute to global initiatives in reliability, value engineering, and digitalization. Requirements The ideal Customer Engineer should meet the following requirements: Degree in Engineering, preferably Aircraft/Aeronautical or Electrical/Electronic. At least 5 years’ experience in component overhaul, aircraft maintenance, or technical services. Design/Verification Engineer certification is a plus. Experience in Part-145, CAMO, or Part-21J organizations preferred. Comfortable working with international teams and stakeholders. Strong technical and economic understanding of aviation/MRO. Good market knowledge, including customer needs and competitors. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (macros/automation) and Power Point. Knowledge of SAP R/3; hands-on experience with SAP is a plus. Excellent English skills; additional languages are an asset. Strong service mindset and ability to communicate across cultures. Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Confident presenter with experience preparing technical materials. Willing to travel and work in a dynamic, international setting. Team player with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
