KEZA is looking for a PHP Development intern to lead the design, development, and maintenance our PHP Laravel 5 based application's back-end. The developer will be involved in the entire application life cycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. In addition to delivering the product, a successful candidate will be involved in working closely with the mobile app engineers, system architect and the product owner. The intern will be getting great exposure and hands-on training and a possibility of a permanent position for the right . (8 weeks unpaid, then paid traineeship and permanent position based on performance).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Web Designer will be responsible for design, layout, and coding of our ;
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to public and support
- Work directly with creative, developers and producers to conceptualize, build, test and release products
- Gather & understand requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
- Build prototypes, optimize ;
- Uphold the quality of the software, the code, and the ;
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in backend ;
- Designs and constructs web pages/sites including incorporating graphic user interface (GUI) feature and other ;
- Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business ;
- Be involved in all technical and graphical aspects of building a website - how the site works and how it ;
- Maintains and provides ongoing design of the website, promos and ad banners, seasonal content specials and custom chat launcher design for ;
- Test the website and identify any technical ;
- Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search ;
- Be involved with the maintenance and update of an existing ;
- Able to work on his own or in a team.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in Design ;
- In-depth knowledge in HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and ;
- Understanding of user experience, usability, and responsive web design will be ;
- Familiar with online webmaster tools like Google webmaster tools, AdWords, Analytics.
- Prior experience of visualizing and creating web interfaces, advertising campaigns for large ;
- Good knowledge of the latest web technologies, cross-browser and platform ;
- Web Coding Experience with an ability to write codes from scratch and customize ready-made packages and ;
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and ;
- Aware of international web standards and protocols
- Architecture, Software Development Fundamentals, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Software Debugging
- Brief knowledge of using ;
- Software development experience with highly trafficked web properties
- Portfolio, GitHub (or another open-source account), list of published works
- Activity on Stack Overflow
- Ability to showcase knowledge software development experience in PHP using at least one major MVC framework, proficiency in Laravel is a huge ;
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook etc)
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Should be passionate about software and code quality and be aware of automated testing practices and methods
- Be highly proficient with RESTful APIs and JSON
- Be up to speed with tools such as Git, Invision
- Be up to speed with Bash and knows their way around a Linux server via the terminal and knows the basics of a LAMP or Nginx ;
