Key responsibilities:

   Assist the CEO to provide an empowering view of Organization's mission, vision, values and key strategic objectives so that the top team is fully aware of the company's current as well as planned future position in the market and the main strategic drivers.

  As a member of the senior management team participate in the development and refinement of Organization's overall vision and strategy and contribute to the overall process of corporate management and decision making to ensure that all relevant perspectives (strategy, financial, process and people) are considered in strategy development and that the company maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability.

  Assist the CEO to obtain Board approval and lead as assigned by CEO the implementation of the company's long term business plan to enable the achievement of agreed objectives.

  Aggressively review - with the Senior Management teams - their departmental plans, targets and lines of business to ensure that the company is well positioned to maximize economic and market opportunities.

  Contribute to provide overall direction in the development and implementation of strategic and operational policies, processes, procedures, guidelines and controls in order to ensure that Organization`s activities are fully integrated and delivered to best practice standards.

  Support the CEO in the development of sound corporate governance practices compliant with international standards which support the company's operations and protect its interests.

  Assist the CEO to ensure risk management processes are in place to mitigate risks and safeguard the interests of the company.

  Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through effective leadership - setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize company's performance.

  Assist the CEO to ensure that the annual budgets are prepared in a timely manner and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs / revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

  Represent CEO as needed to report regularly to the Board about progress towards organizational objectives, financial status of the organization and other issues of concern to ensure that the Board is kept informed of material information relating to the performance and financial health of the company, in line with sound principles and corporate governance practices.

  Maintain an extensive network of political, business and market contacts to ensure that the company is optimally placed in its understanding of economic challenges and opportunities.

  Maintain a thorough awareness of market conditions in Qatar, the GCC and international markets to allow informed decision-making concerning the overall strategy.

  Deputize for the CEO in order to ensure the smooth functioning of Organization`s during their absence.

  Support the CEO to create an enabling culture so that staff are motivated to take a 'hands-on' and 'can-do' approach to ORGANIZATION`S business, reacting rapidly to new initiatives, meeting planned targets, pursuing planned career objectives and demonstrating preferred high performance behaviors.

  Assess the long term development needs of the company and ensure that the internal and external resources are available and are capable of delivering high quality services and service levels that meet increasingly demanding customer expectations.

  Contribute to and develop the next generation of leaders capable of effectively managing the company's affairs and delivering business objectives.
