Key Objectives of the Job:

- External

  • Support the client team and develop excellent relationships with appropriate members of the wider Client organisation, our suppliers and partners within the region, and championing excellence in customer ;
  • Work with the Client team to impart knowledge and experience to deliver the Client's projects efficiently, using innovation and value engineering solutions  
  • Ensure that the Client fully understands the product and services that they are procuring by taking a lead role in the Work Winning effort that will secure a sustainable and increasing volume of work 
  • In line with Carillion Alawi Values and Sustainability agenda, to determine and deliver the appropriate quality and style for the project(s), and thus ensure that the reputation of Carillion Alawi is enhanced with the local community, delivery partners and, most of all, the ;
  • Acting as the 'face of Carillion Alawi to the Client, both in the tender and delivery process
  • Engage and highly motivate their team, to achieve exceptional service and minimise ;
  • Set clear objectives and targets for their teams and manage poor ;
  • Deliver the contracted scope of service safely, within set budgets, timelines and quality standards and to standards for all ;
  • Deliver operational requirements to maximise the score of the Performance Management ;
  • Directs activities to support operational delivery and growth 
  • Have sufficient understanding the contractual obligations of the contract 
  • Work with other Senior Management Team colleagues to provide and deliver an integrated service offering to the client 
  • Maintain effective internal and external client or user relationships within own area of responsibility, being sympathetic to cultural ;
  • Apply high levels of technical skills and experience across the projects function 
  • Focuses on providing input to the annual business, financial and people plan for the specific contract, project or specialism  
  • Has overall accountability for the direction of the Projects function which may contain a degree of complexity and risk Internal


- External

  • Comply and have over accountability for all statutory, Carillion Alawi IMS, security and relevant company and client policies to create a positive health and safety culture and ensure everyone on site, including their project team, are working in accord with Carillion Alawi 'Target Zero' Health & Safety ;
  • To take the lead in ensuring the effective management of performance, training and budgets, to ensure that the project is cash-positive, well-co-ordinated and runs in accord with the agreed Contract Programme 
  • Deliver customer excellence safely, to budget and in a way that maximises our score on the Contract Performance Management ;
  • Maximise contract profitability and enhanced value by understanding client needs and Contract requirements 
  • Maximizing the services delivered increasing project turnover and scope where possible 
  • Highly motivate their team creating a culture of openness and collaboration in accordance with Carillion Alawi Values 
  • Lead, recruit, develop and retain staff to deliver services in an efficient and effective manner, including performance management of employees as required recognising local labour laws; often needing direct and objective ;
  • Set objectives for direct reports and review frequently as required. Ensure same approach and mechanisms for all staff within their area of responsibility 
  • Manage Strategic Projects / Initiatives and ensure corrective action plans and progress reporting is provided 
  • Support and lead the introduction of operational best practice into the region as directed by the Account Director and work stream ;
  • Proactively managing any potential or actual risks to the project delivery to ensure that it achieves its targets around time, quality, safety, customer service and commercial value 

Commercial and Financial Accountabilities:

The role will need to work closely with the Commercial Management team for the Contract to ensure:  

  • Accountable for financial performance and risk management 
  • All works are completed within set budgetary guidelines 
  • Typically sets budgets and works within budgetary guidelines and ensures compliance 
  • Accountable for budget setting and ongoing commercial control contributing to budget ;
  • Productivity management including ongoing review of maximising and improving productivity of site teams 
  • Promotion of innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the team, benefiting customers and Carillion Alawi 
  • Work with the client, suppliers and partners to maximise value through delivery of variable works and increasing contract scope through the contract framework  
  • Responsible for compliance to Corporate Governance standards 
  • Ensuring compliance with Carillion Alawi financial policy and standards
