Prepare functional specs, use cases, and assist in preparing user & system test plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
Analyze and document business processes.
Document workflows and results of business analysis to obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.
To provide the link between the customer, development, test team, and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle.
To design use-cases and work packages which will result into test scenarios and test scripts.
Day to day assistance in the management of change requests in relation to the project or product requirements specifications.
Weekly reports to be produced for the project manager showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
Education & Skills Required
Demonstrable evidence of analyzing and documenting complex business processes
Knowledge in Unified Modeling Language is an advantage
Demonstrable experience writing requirements specifications for Information Systems A proven track record in Software Development
End to end experience of the project lifecycle or software development life cycle
Knowledge in Rational Unified Process or Use case experience is an advantage
Results oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years experience
Logistics/transportation experience a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university.
Exception verbal and written communications skills are required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to independently manage spreadsheet and presentation software, including advanced formulas/commands to analyze and interpret client data and produce final documentation.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
