Responsibilities :

The primary objective of Senior / Sales Manager is to bring potential business to the hotel through sourcing, negotiating and winning Corporate Sales Accounts to generate revenue. The Senior / Sales Manager will be required to conduct his/her duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel's policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.


Account Management

• Develop sales action plan to target key accounts under own portfolio

• Organize and report weekly sales call plan and weekly entertainment plan to DOSM

• Monitor account activity and make adjustments when necessary

• Establish a regular core pattern for meeting with principals of target markets and conduct site inspections within the Residence

• Input all data in CRM system for appropriate account management follow up and tracing

• Be responsible for designated account base

• Be the feelers and resource for the Residence on market information and updates


Seeking Business Opportunity and Essential Selling

• Identify opportunity for value added services to increase sales profitability and anticipate Client needs

• Demonstrate effective selling techniques in promoting company products and services

• Ensure a focus on all company facilities including food and beverage and catering


Client / Guest's Retention

• Anticipate Guest's needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with others Hosts

• Monitor Guest / Clients services and operational requirements in order to identify shortfalls in the operation

• Seek opportunities to continually improve Client Service

• Act on potential Client complaints and report to appropriate personal

• Deliver enthusiastic, positive, helpful and respectful Client Communication, ensuring precise and effective information transfer

• Address Client quires within 24 hours of initial contact

• Ensure recovery calls are dealt with in an appropriate manner


Reviewing Reports

• Compile daily, weekly and monthly report as required

• Report progress of performance in meeting targets

• Learn to read the marketing worksheets with an understanding of the budget the company is working towards achieving in all rooms market segments

• Analyze report and make recommendations

Demonstrating Team Involvement

• Ensure attendance at training and to practice team spirit with new staff, orienting them as they arrive to the department

• Co-operate with other Sections and Departments

• Participate actively in the regular sales meeting to keep Staff and Management informed and to foster two-way communication



• Demonstrate working knowledge of all tasks within area of responsibility

• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Department Head

• The Residence requires that you perform any task deemed necessary by the Management for the efficient running of the Sales & Marketing Department specially and the company in general



• Minimum Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or equivalent qualification

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Residence / Hotel sales

• Experience in similar capacity, preferably with experience in a 4 or 5 Stars Residence / Hotel

• A good knowledge of clientele information and a 'know-how' in tapping of corporate / wholesale business

• Have a fair knowledge of managing account

• Strong organization, critical thinking, problem solving and computer skill required

• Strong team player and result oriented

• Must be able to work independently, simultaneously manage multiple tasks and able to work under pressure

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good command of written and spoken English

• Preferably candidates able to converse in Mandarin, Thai or Japanese will be advantage

• Process own transport
