Admission and Registration Officer

Admission and Registration Unit

The Admission and registration plans, organizes and manages all the activities related to student records and registration .Their principal role is to serve as the official authorized keeper of the University's records. He / She also manages student applications for admission .Their main  role is to determine the students who will be an asset to the college and will succeed socially and academically.

The Admission and Registration Officer will report to the Assistance Dean for Student Services.

Duties and responsibilities of the Admission and Registration Unit

1. Works with faculty and deans to develop admissions criteria, tests and policies

2. Analyzes qualifications of prospective students utilizing established college admission standards, guidelines and criteria

3. Establishes guidelines on transfer of credits

4. Provides information about college enrollment polices and admission standards to prospective students and applicants.

5. Compiles annual admissions statistics reports on number of students who applied, were accepted and enrolled for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

6. Prepare reports, proposals and responses to inquiries from Faculty and administrative staff

7. Ensure quality management in admissions and reporting process

8. Overseas the Administrators Committee that plays a major role in admission decisions

9. Organizes and administers the records and registration of students

10. Collects and maintains student records as per the college and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research guidelines.

11. Manages graduation events and ensure that all academic requirements are met and the preparing of the final transcript

12. Applies quality management techniques to the recording and reporting system and safe keeping of student data.

13. Prepare reports on academic status of students to be used by the Deans, Administrative and faculty staff

14. Works with faculty and administrative staff to facilitate and improve registration and records keeping process

15. Supervise the registration and admission team and manages the unit budget and reporting
