1. SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The business development manager's main task is to facilitate the expansion and generate new business opportunities. The Business Development Manager must have good knowledge in the areas of business administration, economics and finance as well as strong communications and negotiating skills.


2. JOB PROFILE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø He/she will have to work alongside the marketing and sales team to increase the client data base that leads to the maximization of revenue for the company.

Ø Strategic planning for future development

Ø Motivate employees of the Fish Tree to perform at their most profitable level.

Ø A thorough knowledge of the marketplace and of the company's competitors

Ø Maintaining good relationships with clients

Ø Fetch new clients through various media platforms such as publishing, advertising, electronic media, and others.

Ø Monitors, measures and manages KPIs, corporate and department goals

Ø Ability to be creative and innovative

Ø Identifying areas for expansion and development

Ø Preparing proposals, maintaining a sales pipeline and also managing the Consultancy PR and social media strategy.

Ø Generating sales leads, negotiating and closing deals.

Ø Identify new business opportunities, new markets, new partnerships with other businesses, and new ways to reach existing markets.


3. KEY DELIVERABLES


Ø Expand and generate new business opportunities.

Ø Use of strong business acumen

Ø Research skill, Strategic planning, Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all opportunities


4. THE RIGHT PERSON


Ø Minimum of 5-6 years in Marketing and Advertising experience; preferably from the digital back ground

Ø At least 5 years' experience in a managerial position

Ø Bachelor's degree in visual communication, business administration, marketing any relevant field.

Ø The Business Development Head must have good knowledge in the areas of business administration, economics and finance as well as strong communications and negotiating skills

Ø Sound knowledge of the advertising industry, the current trends and developments

Ø Previous experience as a member of a Business team, with a solid track record of landing new business/clients

Ø An effective and proactive networker

Ø Experience in managing budgets.

Ø Demonstrated experience prioritizing activities, delegating, monitoring assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.

Ø Integrate work across relevant areas; develop the Fish Tree business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity.

Ø Manage risks appropriately, develop and execute Fish tree business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
