About the Role: The Machine Operator will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of processing equipment to ensure internal quality standards at GMG Farm Fresh processing. Process control and machine operators in food processing operate multi-function process control machinery and single-function machines to process and package frozen food products. The Machine Operator will help set up, maintain, and operate machinery. Your duties will include ensuring the continuous running of production, maintaining efficiency and quality levels, and collaborating with co-workers to help your team achieve a high level of productivity. Key Responsibilities: Prepare machines to start a production cycle, performing calibration, cleaning, and other activities. Verify functionality of safety features prior to machine operation. Follow production instructions, whether written or verbal. Set up and perform minor calibrations of machinery as needed. Operate machinery in a consistently safe manner. Perform inspections of machinery to ensure efficient operation and production. Maintain high quality of machine-produced outputs. Monitor and properly adjust machine settings. Check parts with precision using appropriate measuring tools. Conduct tests to check the operation of machines regularly. Troubleshoot issues that might occur during the shift. Verify output to detect any machine-related mistakes or flaws. Create and manage records of approved and defective units or final products. Create and maintain activity logs. Adhere to health and safety regulations. Ensure that all machines meet hygiene standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: At least 1-2 years of experience operating machines in the frozen food industry. High school diploma or technical qualification (e.g., ITI with trade certificate in electrical or mechanical). Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).
