Description Apt Resources is currently seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Portuguese Speaking Purchaser to join the procurement team of a leading Food Stuff Trading Company. This role is integral to the company's success in sourcing high-quality fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) to meet customer demands effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and an extensive background in procurement, particularly in the food sector. Responsibilities Identify and maintain relationships with suppliers for FMCG food products. Negotiate purchasing agreements, pricing, and terms with suppliers. Monitor market trends and assess supplier performance. Ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain issues as they arise. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders and inventory levels. Collaborate with other departments to align purchasing strategies with operational needs. Contribute to product selection and development initiatives to enhance the product portfolio. Requirements Proven experience as a Purchaser in the FMCG sector with a focus on food products. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in MS Office and procurement software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
