1. Job Purpose Acts as the second line of defence, for the assigned platform, to ensure that all key data and key documents pertaining to our Investment Lifecycle are captured/uploaded based on the approved standards and procedures to provide assurance to our users/leaders and minimize the need for periodic reviews and 3rd line of defence. This includes, without limitation, data or documents pertaining to pre-deal screening, screening, diligence, signing, value creation and investment exit. Description: • Review and provide sign-off on key documents submitted for any new investment or exit opportunity for the assigned Business Platform/s: Review the completeness and accuracy of all the key knowledge assets (key documents) for any new investment opportunity or exit opportunity before they are reviewed by the approving committees. This includes, without limitation, deal screening sheets, commercial, financial, legal, regulatory due diligence reports, committee reports and others to ensure that the deal teams have submitted the correct documents and versions. • Review and revalidate all new relationships registered by investment professionals within their assigned platform/s: Support in reviewing and revalidating all new relationships (companies, funds and contacts) registered by investment professionals within the assigned platform/s to ensure that all required data is captured, accurate and no duplicates and linked to our external data provider. Work with the investment professionals to fix any identified errors in the registered relationships • Review investment opportunity and exit opportunity key data: Review and revalidate all key data attributes captured for investment opportunities and exit opportunities at each stage to ensure that all the required data is accurately captured at each stage. This includes, without limitation, reviewing target names for deals, ensuring that the correct folders for deals are created, key knowledge asset folders are created and linked to the right deal IDs etc. • Linking Investment Proposals and committee updates to respective deals/investments: For any material presented to the approving committees for the assigned platform, the incumbent will ensure that their deal IDs or Investment codes are captured and linked in a timely manner. • Review and provide Sign-Off on all new investments registered: Review all the new investments registered for their assigned business platform/s and provide sign-off to confirm that all the key attributes are captured, the correct deal ID is captured and linked to the investment and ensure that the key knowledge asset folder for the investment is created and linked. Work with Legal and Governance to ensure that the relationships pertaining to the new investment are linked to Mubadala Corporate Registry. • Review and ensure that investment status is updated: For any new exit opportunity closed, work with the relevant teams to ensure that the investment status is updated. • Periodic Reviews of ILC Data & Documents : Support in conducting periodic reviews of ILC data and key documents for their assigned business platform/s to ensure and work with the respective teams to rectify any issues or discrepancies identified during the reviews • Training, education and coordination with KDCs: Train investment professionals within their assigned business platform/s on the process for capturing ILC data and key documents and liase with the respective Knowledge and Data Champions to address any process gaps and issues within their business units. • Other Quality Assurance Duties: Perform any other assigned duties pertaining to ILC quality assurance as needed. Cover their colleagues during their absence Minimum Qualifications: • This role requires a business-related bachelor's degree or a related field Experience: • A minimum of 4 years of experience in investment management processes or related areas • Prior experience in a Private Equity or Sovereign Wealth Fund is preferred. Knowledge: • Business and investment (Private Equity) processes • Ability to communicate to investment professionals and stakeholders. • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline • Knowledge of the investment lifecycle process • Ability to manage with different stakeholders at different levels • Exceptional data analysis skills including Excel advanced expertise • Strong communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.
