The Field IT Support Engineer is responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading various IT equipment to ensure optimal performance. They work closely with clients, supporting them in their daily technical queries and problems, delivering excellent customer service and technical expertise. The successful candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, addressing client needs with a proactive approach. Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support and respond promptly to IT service requests. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues quickly and efficiently. Install and configure computer systems, peripheral devices, and software applications. Maintain IT equipment to ensure optimal performance, addressing malfunctions and defects. Conduct regular maintenance checks and provide recommendations for system upgrades. Collaborate with IT teams to implement system upgrades and technology improvements. Document problems, solutions, and procedures for future reference and reporting purposes. Educate clients on basic IT principles to foster self-service issue resolution skills. Assist in setting up network and server installations at various client locations. Manage inventory of hardware components and provide inputs for procurement needs. Ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and trust. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Field IT Support Engineer or similar technical role. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and operating systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. Superior written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
