Day-to-day operations: To inspect the condition and wear limits on all mobile plant equipment, including pneumatic, foam-filled, and solid tyres and wheels.Job Responsibilities: - Regular inspection of pneumatic tyres' inflation pressure and filling as per manufacturer recommendations.- Report any damage or abnormal wear patterns, or issues with multiple tyres/wheels.- Maintain good working relationships with workers, foremen, supervisors, and management.- Perform duties of a Foreman as required for individual projects.- Work within allocated timescales to meet department targets.- Attend training sessions as required by the department.- Inspect outgoing vehicle tyres for condition and expiry date.- During preventive maintenance, inspect tyres and provide feedback for replacement.- Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.- Follow daily operational procedures to ensure work continuity.Technical Competencies: - Basic knowledge of tyre expiry dates and tread patterns.- Ability to use jacking and lifting equipment for tyre replacement.- Familiarity with tyre replacement machines.- Ability to repair tubeless tyres and tubes.- Apply appropriate engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.Minimum Education: - Secondary school with a 6-month technical course or high school.Training: - Shipyard training.Experience: - At least 1 year of experience, preferably in a shipyard.Additional Details: - Entry level position.- Full-time employment.- Job functions include management and manufacturing.- Industries: Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Storage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
