Bid Manager / Pre-Construction Manager

As the BID Manager handling Pre-Construction, you will be managing technical bid submissions for large-scale and complex construction projects across the UAE. Sat in the Bid Management team at the Dubai Head office, you will be an integral part of the leadership team reporting to the General Manager, working alongside Estimation, QHSE, Technical, Planning Controls, and MEP. Are you capable of client-facing interactions and driving strategy and coordination? This may include delivery methods, programs, sub-contractor selection, and procurement strategies to ensure alignment. Ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding delivery, execution, risk, and collaboration. The company does not tender for projects they do not wish to win. You will join a business with a quality-over-quantity approach to tenders and pre-construction. Hold a privileged position to negotiate percentages at single source and enter PSA agreements to ensure win-win outcomes for all parties. Do you have the client-facing skills, confidence, and attention to detail needed at bidding and tender stages? Sectors covered include: Hotels, Commercial & Hospitality Residential – Low Rise & High Rise Ideally, you will have at least 5 years of UAE experience handling complex Design & Build tenders. The core business ranges from 300 million to 2.4 billion AED, with projects delivered up to $1 billion USD. If you have worked for a main contractor in this capacity, our client wants to hear from you. They require individuals who can hit the ground running and make an impact, not someone new to the UAE/GCC region. You will review risk assessments, buildability, soil samples, programs, methods of construction, lifting and crane placements, and ways to reduce the program duration. Hands-on experience in value engineering, design, and delivery is essential. Is this you? Do you possess the following experience? Delivered projects as No.1 on site for reputable Tier 1/2 building main contractors Strong network across UAE client base and supply chain Solid technical & engineering background with exposure to Lump Sum Design & Build projects Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Proficient with IT & software; capable of actioning tasks independently Strong communication skills demonstrated throughout the interview process Ideally 12+ years post-graduate experience Ability to analyze programs to optimize time and profit Technical understanding to read drawings and review programs in depth This is not a hybrid role. You will be based at the Dubai Head office, working a traditional 5-day week from 7: 30-8: 00 am to 5: 30-6: 00 pm, with long days in preparation for bid submissions.
