Operations - Back Office Officer

Responsibilities Monitoring & Investigation: Detect and investigate suspicious transactions using data-driven tools and digital monitoring systems. Client Risk Profiling: Conduct risk assessments, periodic reviews, and enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients. Escalation: Escalate complex or high-risk cases following internal protocols. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, support audits and inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance. KYC & Onboarding: Assist in client onboarding by reviewing KYC documents and completing AML checks. Collaboration: Work with Customer Support and Onboarding teams to identify risks early and facilitate smooth processing. Process Improvement: Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to resolve AML-related issues and contribute to developing procedures and automated solutions. Industry Awareness: Stay updated on AML trends, threats, and best practices. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Criminology, or related fields. 1–2 years of experience in AML, compliance, KYC, or client onboarding within financial services or fintech. Knowledge of AML regulations and frameworks (e.g., FATF, EU AML Directives, FCA, Cy SEC). Experience with transaction monitoring or case management tools. Proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision making. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Business-level fluency in English (CEFR B2+).
