Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah (HOT0BKK0) Work Locations Waldorf Astoria The Palm, Palm Jumeirah Road, Crescent East, Dubai, Aa01 Role Overview A Sales Manager – Leisure & MICE is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing key accounts in the Leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segments. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and executing sales strategies aligned with the hotel’s luxury standards. Key Responsibilities Proactively source and secure new business in the Leisure and MICE segments. Develop and maintain relationships with key travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, event planners, and destination management companies. Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and hotel presentations to generate new business. Represent the hotel at industry trade shows, networking events, and roadshows to increase brand awareness and market share. Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring profitability and alignment with hotel revenue strategies. Build and nurture long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business. Provide personalized service and seamless communication to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Coordinate with internal departments such as Events, Revenue, and Operations for smooth execution of group bookings and events. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Collaborate with Revenue Management to implement optimal pricing and yield strategies. Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive prospecting and strategic account management. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to support strategic decisions. Candidate Profile To succeed as a Sales Manager - Leisure & MICE at Waldorf Astoria, candidates should possess: Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in high-end or luxury hotels, resorts, or destination management companies, focusing on Leisure and MICE segments. A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and maintaining high-value client relationships. Deep understanding of Leisure and MICE markets, including key travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and event planners, both locally and internationally. Strong knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and sales strategies specific to luxury hospitality and events. Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple high-profile accounts and events. Strategic thinking with creativity and innovation in sales and client engagement. Formal training or certifications in Sales, Hospitality Management, or related fields are advantageous. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and service excellence.
