Diploma(Engineering), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering Nationality Any Nationality Any Vacancy Job Description We are hiring qualified HSE Managers for our multiple construction projects in UAE. The incumbent will be responsible to create, nurture and ensure a “Safe Working Place ” at the Project Site and beyond by adhering to the HSE Plan, establish Safety Standards and Compliances locally, Internationally, and ensure all our employees at the Project are trained & complying with these Standards. Key Responsibilities: To evangelize Health and Safety Norms, Values, Attitudes and Beliefs as a “Way of Life” through sustained Training and Communication. Create a HSE Manual for the Project incorporating Business Safety Guidelines & Compliances to ensure they are disseminated through Education and Training with emphasis on Safe Methods, use of Equipment and Substances, Reporting and Emergency Procedures, Personal Protective Equipment, and work in Hazardous Conditions etc. To Measure Safety lapses like Accident Frequency Rates, Near Misses, Fatalities and identify common threads of similarity and initiate corrective action in consultation with the Site Leadership team. Ensure timely Investigation of any Incidents and Accidents including identification of immediate and underlying causes and take corrective action with proper Documentation and Analysis. Assess Work Activities and Potential Hazards for matters relating to Accidents and Health and advice on implementation of appropriate Control Measures. To regularly conduct Safety Audits and conform safe – worthiness before carrying out the work. To ensure Safety Induction to all employees & visitors to the project site. To demarcate hazardous areas and putting up appropriate warning signage’s. Advise on Emergency Procedures, First Aid Facilities, Safety Signs, relevant Protective Clothing and Equipment and Incident Reporting to the relevant Authorities. Ensure 100% Compliance of the established Standards on Health and Safety through Internal Inspections, Audits, Training, Orientation and punitive action, wherever necessary. Conceptualize and Implement a Risk Management Document highlighting Risk Control Measures and Hazard Identification at work-place in consultation with the Site Management Staff. Ensure Leadership commitment through their personal involvement by building a culture of daily walk through, keeping Health & Safety the first point in the Agenda of any Site Management Meet, integrating it with the Performance Management Systems etc. Advise Site Management on Local Laws on Health and safety and other enforcements and ensure there is a Zero Tolerance Culture by blending a reward and punishment for good and bad performance on established Health and Safety Norms. Desired Candidate Profile Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a Master’s Degree in Health and Safety or related discipline. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory. 12–15 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, specifically with large civil contracting companies. Proven track record of independently managing the HSE function on building projects like High-rise, Hospitals or Healthcare projects. Minimum 5 years of experience in the Middle East, preferably in the UAE.
