Senior Power BI Engineer

Job Objective : The Senior Power BI Engineer is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, including interactive dashboards, query tools, data visualization, ad hoc reporting, and data modelling. By ensuring data quality, accuracy, and usability, the engineer will enable businesses and organizations to analyze trends, identify opportunities, and optimize performance. In addition to technical expertise, the role requires problem-solving skills, and the ability to design and present data in ways that maximize its impact. Through seamless integration of data-driven solutions, the Senior Power BI Engineer will empower stakeholders with clear, actionable intelligence to enable data-driven decision making. Team Qualifications and Experience : Bachelor of Science Degree in IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering. Minimum 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis and BI solutions. Experience in Azure-based data platform mainly Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse. Advanced experience in Power BI Knowledge of Stock Exchange business / Finance businesses and business analytics requirements is an advantage. Technical Skills include: Wide knowledge in Data Warehousing and Data Modelling. Experience working with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse. Proficiency in Cloud Data Platforms (Microsoft Azure). Experience with Visualization tools (Power BI). Querying Data with Transact-SQL / ANSI SQL / Py SQL. Extensive knowledge of DAX queries. Extensive knowledge in Tabular Modelling. Responsibilities include managing requests and stakeholder engagements, evaluating and improving BI systems, understanding CI/CD concepts for BI development, creating dashboards and reports (including real-time reports), visualizing data, authoring reports, scheduling automated refreshes, discovering insights, managing master data, testing and upgrading software, troubleshooting issues, analyzing data trends, identifying process improvements, understanding data modelling patterns (star and snowflake schemas), and supporting data platform enhancements.
