Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a hybrid Data Engineer/Analyst, combining expertise in data engineering and data visualization. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data warehouse infrastructure while creating and managing Power BI dashboards. Key responsibilities include data engineering, data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data warehousing, and data analytics. Working closely with our operations team and clients, you will design and manage visually compelling and insightful Power BI dashboards to support key decision-making processes. This role bridges the gap between robust back-end data infrastructure and intuitive front-end data presentation, enabling impactful insights for our clients and team. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or similar qualifications or experience. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a data engineering, data analytics, or similar role. Dashboard Development: Proven track record of building visually-appealing, interactive, user-friendly dashboards using data visualization tools, preferably Power BI. Python & SQL: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and model development. Data Pipelines: Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, preferably with Azure Data Factory. Databases & Warehousing: Solid understanding of SQL databases (ideally Postgres) and experience with data warehouse design/improvement. Cloud & Version Control: Familiarity with cloud platforms (particularly Azure) and version control systems like Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Fluent in English and a proactive communicator. Preferred Skills Experience in UI/UX design is an advantage. Knowledge of the logistics business is a plus. Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, CI/CD, monitoring, automation, and testing.
